The current people magazine reported “Natural or over the top?” about public breast-feeding. Now I think “over the top” b/c it IS IS IS a PRIVATE matter, that should be shared between a mother and baby, not everyone else. Here is what was posted by People Magazine- February 28th, 2011
NATURAL OR OVER THE TOP?
Readers’ opinions were dramatically divided over the Star Tracks photos of actress Miranda Kerr breast-feeding her infant son Flynn. Among those outraged by the image was Allison Anderson, who e-mailed, “This picture is disrespectful to all those who believe in a woman’s right to breast-feed but don’t want to see it!!!”
Added Rose Bird of Brighton, Mich.: “This crosses the line and makes mother/child bonding provocative.”
Those in favor included Arkansas reader Heidi Miller, who wrote, “Way to go Miranda Kerr, for showing that breast-feeding is not only beautiful, but natural.
Now, I know I have expressed my feelings over this, and rude people debated me (who know WHO you are). But come on. Breast-feeding should be done in private. If you have to go out in public, cover yourself up COMPLETELY or go in a dressing room or some other private space to feed your child. Breast-feeding should be in private and have a child bonding experience excluding everyone else!!
